The Call
Paul urges us to live a life worthy of our calling. What percentage of the Christians that you know, do you think are doing that?
Called out of the life of the ordinary.
Jesus desires for things to happen through us. As He had a purpose, we have a purpose. Be disciples, make disciples & teach them. Read John 15:4-8.
A brother recently shared that for him (doing) flows out of (being) in Christ. His presence radiates from our lives & impacts others. Do you think you are serving the body & others as the Spirit has led you?
I have been thinking a lot about the idea that (doing) flows out of (being) in Christ. Jesus said “apart from me you can do nothing”. Being in Him then is the key to being poured out, sent, or spent for Him. So to grow in this then, requires us to look inward before we see out flowing.
So since we take the scriptures seriously, specifically what Jesus said about being a disciple, shouldn’t we then understand that at some point in our walk He will call us to be Holy Spirit empowered co laborers with Him? Can we just be consuming Christians? Is it His intention for us to just enjoy getting blessings, & live quiet & comfortable lives? Or are we to be giving & going like ones who are sent as well?
As we can then, lets spend some time praying for the Gardner to make us branch’s that produce much fruit.
